Working in Inverness,
week in, week out.
Inverness is home. Most weeks the van hardly leaves IV1, IV2 or IV3 postcodes, you'll see it parked on driveways from Slackbuie up to Culloden and back down to the Crown. That density is a real advantage for customers: we're rarely more than fifteen minutes away, so callbacks, one-offs and mid-season additions actually happen quickly. Regular maintenance rounds fill day-of-week slots (Tuesdays around Balloch and Culloden, Wednesdays across the city centre and Crown, and so on) which keeps the pricing predictable and the schedule honest.
Where we cover
Every IV1, IV2 and IV3 postcode, plus IV5 out to Kirkhill and Bunchrew. That covers the city centre and Crown, Culloden, Balloch, Westhill, Smithton, Kinmylies, Holm, Dores Road, Slackbuie, Cradlehall, and the newer estates around Ashton Farm and Ness-side.
How fast we can be there
Usually a quote back within the same working day. Based in Inverness, most jobs start within a week in peak season.
Property types we work on
Traditional stone-fronted terraces around the city centre and Crown; 60s and 70s bungalows with mature gardens across Kinmylies and Balloch; larger executive homes on the Culloden and Westhill hills; new-build family homes on the Ness-side and Slackbuie estates; and a healthy mix of commercial premises, restaurants, hotels, gyms, and rental portfolios.
What most people call us for
Regular fortnightly grass cutting rounds on the newer estates; full garden clearances between tenancies on the rental stock around Crown and the university side; formal hedge trimming for the Culloden and Westhill executive homes; patio and driveway installations for the traditional properties adding value. Commercial frontage maintenance for city-centre restaurants and gyms is our other steady work.
The local climate factor
Inverness sits at the head of the Moray Firth in a comparatively dry pocket, but wind funnelling up the Great Glen means fencing and taller hedges take a battering, and heavier winter frosts hit the Culloden and Balloch hills a full week before they reach the city floor. Grass cutting typically starts a week later up on the hills than down by the river.

Based in the city
We're not a Central-belt operation sending vans north twice a year, we live and work in Inverness. Most jobs get scoped within 24–48 hours.
Fixed day-of-week rounds
Maintenance customers in Inverness get a locked day (usually the same day every fortnight) so you know exactly when the garden's cut. No 'we'll try to fit you in this week' texts.
Verified on MyBuilder

What gardens in Inverness
actually deal with.
Wind through the Great Glen tears at fencing
Inverness catches steady prevailing westerlies up the Glen, and cheap fence panels installed on shallow posts don't last two winters. We concrete-set posts to proper depth and use panels rated for the exposure, it's the single biggest reason fences here fail early.
Culloden and Balloch frosts are harder than the city floor
Homes up on the Culloden and Balloch hills sit noticeably higher, grass cutting starts a week later there in spring and stops a week earlier in autumn, and paving pointing needs frost-tolerant material. We time rounds and material choices accordingly.
Tenement rears and older gardens carry hidden waste
Older properties around the Crown and city centre often have 30+ years of accumulated garden waste, old paving and buried rubble behind them. Clearance jobs here almost always turn up more than the surface suggests, we quote realistically for that.
New-build estate lawns arrive on poor sub-soil
Turf laid over builder's spoil on the newer Slackbuie and Ness-side estates thins and yellows within two seasons if it's just mown. Correct-height cutting plus a proper aeration programme keeps them going, otherwise it's re-turfing after four years.
